A World of Faith

The journey begins in the Kalahari and takes us all the way to the front line in Ukraine. It tells of ancient rituals and modern crises of meaning. Is faith part of our biology, or is it actually the path to higher understanding?

Whilst some established religions are losing believers, millions are seeking new forms of spirituality: In Indian ashrams, amongst neo-Druids, in Japanese pop culture or through gurus. A World of Faith reveals how major religions are losing influence, yet the hunger for meaning and spirituality remains.

Can faith make the world a better place? This episode takes us from nuns in Brittany to women who rescue people at sea in the Mediterranean, and from gospel singers in New Orleans to the Wixárika people in Mexico. We meet people who are inspired by their faith to help people or the environment.
